Know the facts: 3 reasons to stay with PEPP when you retire

RETIREMENT PLANNING

Are you over 50 and unsure what to do with your PEPP account once you retire? Here are three reasons why it pays to stay in PEPP.

PEPP is a non-profit pension plan

Unlike the big banks or wealth management firms, we don’t exist to create a profit nor do we have shareholders. PEPP operates on a cost recovery basis. The fees incurred are the actual costs for operating the Plan and investing the Plan’s assets.

All investment funds have fees. As an investor, you should know what fees are being paid by you or by the funds you invest in. Fees can add up and take a big bite out of your hard-earned savings.

Strong, long-term fund performance

PEPP’s investment funds tend to outperform comparable funds. See the comparison below. We use world-class fund managers and have a diversified investment structure. This means we have access to investments that retail investors don’t.

You can view PEPP’s monthly Performance Bulletins for both annual and annualized returns in the About the Fund section on the website.
